Children are a treasure!
The mission of Dearing House is hearing, helping, healing children and I'm confident your values are the same.
Will you join us April 26 in honoring Child Abuse Awareness Month by designating it as BLUE SUNDAY and wearing blue to inspire all adults to take action to protect children from abuse.
The theme is "Stand Up for Kids" and the goal is to create a visual reminder of the need to strengthen families.  By asking everyone to wear blue...the traditional color of child abuse awareness...you are showing the community that children are valued and protected here.
Get of photo (or two) of those in blue...even better with a poster that reads "We stand up for kids."  Send those pictures to Dearing House and we will post them and the name of your church on our Facebook page the following day.  Pictures of people in blue will send a powerful message that safety and well-being of children are a priority.
Here are Dearing House, we take prevention seriously.  Here's a list of Safety Tips and there are more links on our website.  Our staff is eager to meet with you to provide further information on hearing, helping, healing children.  Call and schedule an appointment or ask us any questions you have about the needs of children or the services we provide.
We look forward to seeing your BLUE SUNDAY photos!  Thank you for standing up for kids and taking steps to learn more and do more to stop abuse!
P.S.  With the necessity of social distancing for health purposes, we'll gladly respect the changes you have put in place, and photos of individuals in blue are welcomed and encouraged!
